Is there a part of your home where the wi-fi signal is weak? If so, we recommend using a Powerline adapter which works far better than a wi-fi extender. They are amazingly simple to set up and can transform your home wi-fi in minutes!

What is a Powerline adapter?

A Powerline adapter makes it possible to enjoy wi-fi in a more distant part of your home. It does this by making a reliable connection to your router.

Powerline adapters utilise your home’s electrical mains cabling. The internet signal travels through the electrical wires into the area you need better wi-fi signal.

How to set up a Powerline adapter?

First, connect one Powerline adapter to a plug point near your router, then connect it to the router with an ethernet cable.

Next, connect another Powerline adapter to a plug point in the area where you wish to extend the wi-fi, for example the first floor of your home. If you have a large home, simply purchase more Powerline adapters. You can then connect to the second and any additional adapters wirelessly in the same way you connect your devices to your router. Or you can even connect devices such as a laptop or computer to the adapter using an ethernet cable.

Once you have followed the above steps, that’s it! There’s hardly any setup involved.

Where can I buy Powerline adapters?

You can buy Powerline adapters from a number of places such as Currys, Amazon, Argos.

The best adapters to buy according to our own experience and according to various articles online are Devolo and TP-LINK.
